Neil Low, Author

Writing is my favorite form of expression, and last month my fifth novel, DEADLY ATTRACTION(2012), made its debut at the Seattle Mystery Bookshop, doing very well, taking first place honors for the month in Trade Paperbacks. Fans waiting in line to talk with True Crime Author Ann Rule and me (she has endorsed my writing) snapped up copies of my other four novels, propelling my first novel, THICK AS THIEVES(2008), to the number five position for the month. The three other novels in the Alan Stewart and Vera Deward Murder Mystery series are SIGN OF THE DRAGON(2009), UNREASONABLE PERSUASION(2010), and UNHOLY ALLIANCE(2011). I am currently working on my sixth novel in the series, THEATER OF THE CRIME.

When I’m not writing novels, I can also be found on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/neil.low1?ref=tn_tnmn ; Twitter at: TheMasterThief; and my web page at: http://neillow.com/

Besides writing, police work has been my other passion for forty-five years. I am currently the Night Commander for the Seattle Police Department, which means I’m responsible for the department’s emergency response to all major crimes, catastrophes, and major disturbances. As a senior police captain, I have commanded most of the major sections within the department and have worked in all of its bureaus, from Homicide to Internal Affairs. My goal is to share my knowledge and thoughts on life, addressing topics from red light cameras to mass shootings, as well as explaining more about how things work in law enforcement. I often consult with other writers, providing technical expertise to their stories, manuscripts, and screen plays. If you have such questions, feel free to send them my way.

On the lighter side, I also plan on sharing my take on life, which is often humorous, if not reflective. I hope you will enjoy what I write!
